As we approach the autumn months, here at Bouygues we have been reflecting on some of the highlights of this year, and our activities.
Across the Group, we work extensively with Local Government to deliver award winning, innovative and sustainable solutions in property development (Linkcity), building (Bouygues UK), energy and services (Bouygues Energies & Services) and transport infrastructure (Colas Ltd) across the public sector.
Sponsored through the CR committee, we assisted Xaviate, a startup company, who were looking to develop drone surveys in commercial property. This funding allowed Xaviate to obtain the required Civil Aviation licences to allow permission to fly drones for commercial purposes.
As a result, for the first time last year, our maintenance team carried out a number of aerial surveys on behalf of our clients, Barnet General Hospital (BGH) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), as part of the Hard FM maintenance carried out at each site.
We recently told that throughout 2016, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we have stepped up our internal Health & Wellbeing initiatives. Since then, we have held the first of several Disability Network meetings at our Head Office: Becket House.
In August 1999, we proudly partnered with King’s College London to deliver a long-term public, private partnership (PPP). The ongoing 25-year contract focuses on the refurbishment, lifecycle replacement, and operational facilities management services across two of its buildings to deliver world-class services for this world-class university.
As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), our Human Resources department recently volunteered to team up with ER events, to run an ‘Employability Day’ with secondary school pupils at Prendergast Vale School in Lewisham.
This was a full day event where students were invited to take part in a range of interactive activities, aimed to develop their employability skills, including mastering an application form and preparing for interviews.
